Here are the most anticipated games for release this week, broken down according to the Platforms, Release Date and Genre for each game as well as a brief description for anticipated releases.

Tenmakujinkyaku

Ultra Street Fighter IV

  • Platform: PS3, Xbox 360
  • Genre: Fighting, 2.5D
  • Release Date: June 3, 2014

New gameplay mechanics for Ultra Street Fighter IV include: Ultra Combo Double, Red Focus Attack and Delayed Standing.

In addition to new gameplay mechanics, there will be new modes available for use: Elimination and Online Training. Elimination is an improved Team Battle mode for online play, bearing great resemblance to the three-on-three survival style from the King of Fighters series. Online Training makes its return from Street Fighter X Tekken, allowing for players to train together online.

Murdered: Soul Suspect

Murdered: Soul Suspect is a supernatural detective thriller which challenges players to solve possibly the hardest case of all… their own murder.

When Ronan O’Connor, a detective with a chequered past, gets caught up in a violent burglary, his life is brought to an untimely end by a brutal and relentless killer. Shocked to find himself in the afterlife, his only escape from the limbo world of ‘Dusk’ is to uncover the truth behind his killer, track him down and bring him to justice using his detective instinct and new-found supernatural abilities.

As Ronan, you have the freedom to explore the modern-day town of Salem: its New England-style wooden houses, narrow streets, gothic churches and mental asylum for clues. Battle demonic spirits to save your soul and uncover the shocking revelations about who is responsible for your death.

Wildstar

In WildStar, players are able to create a character that they can control through their playing session. These characters can move in an open, persistent world environment. Characters can level from 1 to 50. Gameplay mainly consists of quests, dungeons, and player versus player combat.

Lifeless Planet

  • Platform: PC
  • Genre: Adventure, Indie
  • Release Date: June 6, 2014

Lifeless Planet was inspired by Cold War era science fiction stories, posing questions about humankind’s desire for space travel. What if you journeyed across the galaxy to another planet, only to find humans had already been there? What kind of person would sign up for a one-way mission, leaving behind planet Earth and everyone they’ve ever known and love… to go in search of an Earth-like planet?

Equipped with a limited-use jet-pack and a mobile robotic arm, the player must use wits and skill to solve puzzles, unravel the mystery, and survive the Lifeless Planet!

Hyperdimension Neptunia Producing Perfection

  • Platform: PS Vita
  • Genre: Simulator
  • Release Date: June 6, 2014

The player takes on the role of the main character, who happens to fall into Gamindustri and is immediately hired by one of the four CPUs — Neptune, Noire, Blanc, and Vert — to be their producer and manage their idol careers. Get your training wheels on, ladies, because a new producer is in town and the fate of Gamindustri hangs in the balance! Will you be able to properly raise these CPUs into idols, or will their citizens be stolen away from them by the popular idol group MOB-48!? Teach these girls to sing, dance, and properly promote themselves to the general populace thanks in part to your expertise in training video game idols back on Earth. As the girls’ popularity rises, they will be able to join one another in singing duets, or maybe even come together for a full ensemble!

Tomodachi Life

For the first time ever, Mii characters behave based on the personality traits you select in Tomodachi LIfe, playing out the drama you set in motion. A celebrity might fall in love with your math teacher. Your mom might jump on stage to belt out heavy metal songs. Or you could become famous striking poses down the runway of a fashion show wearing cute and silly outfits. Best of all, you can document these unbelievable moments for posterity and share them all with your friends via the Nintendo 3DS Image Share service.
