1) Installation Issues (Failed install or stuck at 0%)
This problem can be attributed to a multitude of issues, how ever the most common tends to deal with your firewall. Try disabling your firewall and then checking the download again. If that is not the issue, it might be because you are not running the game as an administrator on your computer. You will first need to create a desktop shortcut from the .exe file. From there, right click the icon, go to properties, and within the properties window, there will be a tab for compatibility. Click on that tab and look for the privilege level box. Make sure to check the box labelled “run program as Administrator.” After that, click OK, and you should be able to run the program for the shortcut you created.
2) Unable to run with DirectX 10 / DirectX 11
Wildstar does have problems at times running with higher end graphics cards, so running the program in DirectX9 will generally solve the issue. Once again, you’ll want to create a shortcut from the .exe file in the Wildstar folder. once that shortcut is created, right click the icon, and click on properties. Within properties, you’ll want to locate the Target line, and at the end of it, add a space followed by the phrase “-dx9”. Click okay to save the changes, and run the program from the shortcut you created.
3) Crash even with 4GB Ram
While the download requirements only say the 4GB of Ram is necessary, there is still a persisting issue that downloads are failing stating that this issue is because there isn’t enough Ram. The developers of Wildstar are currently working to resolve this issue, but as of yet there are no fixes. We will update when news of a patch or solution is released.
4) Patch server connection failure
This issue tends to be along the same lines as that issue of a failed installation, where the problem occurs due to a conflict between your firewall or your permissions. Refer to the Installation Issues problem on how to resolve either of those two issues. If the problem still persists after checking your firewall and permissions, the issue could be due to background processes that are running.
