How to turn off in-game voice (microphone) in Resident Evil 6 for the PC

This is more of a workaround:

Make sure you and the person you want to play with have both gone to your Windows Recording and Disable your microphones. Start the game up, invite your friend and then alt-tab back to Windows and re-enable your microphone. After that you may use whatever 3rd party communication software you prefer (teamspeak, mumble, ventrilo, etc).

An alternative solution would be to do the following:

  1. Download the program MorphVOX Pro
  2. Next, click on the system tray right-click on the sound icon on the recording device.
  3. Turn appeared microphone and make it the default device, be sure to verify that the main micro works, but it should not be any green labels (Win 7), it is best to do this when you are communicating with someone on Skype, to test .
  4. Go to settings Steam, optional voice select device Screaming Bee Audio.
  5. There’s also the setting put the check on the vote button.
  6. Start the game and enjoy.
